Chelsea´s Dasilva joins Bristol City on permanent deal

Chelsea have allowed young full-back Jay Dasilva to join Bristol City on a permanent deal following a loan spell at Ashton Gate.

Dasilva spent the 2018-19 campaign at City, making 32 appearances and impressing on the left side of defence.

His performances helped him earn international recognition with the England Under-21s, winning a spot in their squad for the European Under-21 Championship in Italy, with the Young Lions failing to get out of the group.

It had been suggested Dasilva was in line to be given an opportunity to impress in Chelsea s first team in pre-season, particularly given their transfer ban and likely appointment of Frank Lampard as Maurizio Sarri s successor.

But the Blues have allowed the 21-year-old to depart for good, signing a four-…

Christmas has come early! Mbappe gives kid moment to remember with in-game autograph

Kylian Mbappe gave one young Paris Saint-Germain fan an early Christmas present he will not forget in a hurry, as he signed an autograph for him during Saturday s match.

PSG ran out 4-1 winners over struggling Amiens, with Mbappe – who turned 21 on Friday – netting two goals in a fine performance.

But he also showed a touch of class on a personal level late in the match when approached by a young Christmas hat-clad pitch invader, putting his arm around the child to shield him from the security staff before leading him off the pitch.

The emotional – but impressively prepared – boy then produced a book and pen from his coat, with Mbappe obliging and signing his autograph.

Inter flop Gabigol scores first career hat-trick for Santos

Gabriel Barbosa scored the first hat-trick of his senior club career in Santos 5-1 victory over Luverdense in the Copa do Brasil on Thursday.

The Inter loanee continued his solid form since returning to Brazil on a temporary deal in January, taking his tally to eight in 16 appearances with a treble at the Vila Belmiro.

Gabriel got off the mark by heading home Victor Ferraz s cross to cancel out Itaqui s opener, and he claimed an opportunistic second after the hour mark.

The 21-year-old completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute by slotting home a low, right-wing delivery from Ferraz with his trailing foot.

We never forget the first hat-trick, right? Gabriel posted on Twitter, alongside footage of his exploits.

Griezmann is Atletico´s ´mister plus´, says Payet

Dimitri Payet labelled Antoine Griezmann as Atletico Madrid s mister plus as Marseille prepare to try to stop him in the Europa League final.

Marseille face a daunting task in Wednesday s showpiece at the Groupama Stadium, with Diego Simeone s men the favourites to lift the trophy in Lyon, Griezmann a substantial reason for that status.

Griezmann has 27 goals in 47 appearances this season, producing another brilliant campaign in which he has showcased the form that has made him one of Europe s hottest properties.

He will be expected by many to light up put Marseille to the sword and Payet, his international team-mate with France, knows just how dangerous the forward is to their hopes, the pair having spearheaded France s run to the Euro 2016 final on home soil.

Bentaleb pens new Spurs deal

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has put pen to paper on a new five year deal at White Hart Lane, .

The twenty year old broke into the Spurs first team half way through the 2013/14 campaign, and has since racked up fifty-five appearances, with his one and only goal so far coming in last season’s 4-0 League Cup fifth round victory over Newcastle United.

He has a far more prolific scoring record for his country, having net three times in just seventeen appearances for Algeria while he was part of their squad for last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

Juventus, Paris Saint Germain and Roma had all registered an interest in signing the twenty year old though he is now committed to the North London side until the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

Pedro reveals Barcelona talks

Chelsea attacker Pedro has acknowledged he discussed a return to Camp Nou with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu ahead of the 2016-17 campaign, but has made it clear a transfer never really came close to happening.

The Catalans were desperate to add some more depth to their attack and had earmarked Pedro as a valuable addition following his previous success at the club.

A move never materialised, though, as Barcelona brought in Paco Alcacer from Valencia instead.

I talked with Bartomeu, Pedro told RAC-1.

But it was given more importance than the conversation merited.

It is difficult to return somewhere, but you always have memories of a spell with a club.

Alli not ruling out a move away from Tottenham

Dele Alli is excited about the changes happening at Tottenham in the near future but has refused to rule out a move away from the club amid reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Since leaving MK Dons three years ago Alli has become a key figure for club and country, although last season he struggled to deliver consistent performances, his nine Premier League goals half the tally he managed in 2016-17.

LaLiga giants Barca and Madrid, as well as Manchester United, have all been linked with the midfielder ahead of his World Cup campaign with England.

And Alli has admitted he does not know what his future would hold if one of the big European names did come calling.

Injuries are part of football – Moyes stands by decision to play strongest team

David Moyes saw his injury worries mount up as West Ham were held to a 1-1 FA Cup draw by Bristol City.

Lucas Paqueta set up Jarrod Bowen’s goal after just four minutes, but limped off shortly after with a recurrence of a knee injury.

Defender Konstantinos Mavropanos was also forced off with a shoulder problem before half-time.

But most worryingly of all, top-scorer Bowen had to be helped from the pitch after the final whistle having gone down injured in stoppage time.

The injuries may have brought into question Moyes’ decision to play his strongest team against the Championship side.

But the Hammers boss insisted: “I had no intention of doing anything else than making sure we put out as strong a team as we possibly could.

Manchester United should have made more of chances in cup win – Diogo Dalot

Diogo Dalot feels Manchester United produced a controlled performance to book their place in the FA Cup fourth round with a 2-0 win at Wigan.

Dalot put the visitors in front after 22 minutes, with Bruno Fernandes later converting a second-half penalty.

United dominated against the Sky Bet League One side, making 33 attempts on goal, which Dalot accepted they should have made more from.

“We created a lot of chances and what would have made the difference today was putting the ball in the net a bit more with the occasions which we had,” Dalot said on ITV1.

“They had one or two counter-attacks but overall we controlled the game and had some good moments.”

Ligue 1 Wrap: Monaco hand Marseille first defeat

Monaco moved back to the top of Ligue 1 as they ended Marseille s unbeaten record with a 2-1 win at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday.

Monaco are still yet to taste defeat since earning promotion from Ligue 2 last season, but paid a heavy price for their win as star striker Radamel Falcao suffered an ankle injury in the second half.

Marseille went in front just a minute before the interval as Lucas Mendes headed in Mathieu Valbuena s corner.

However, their advantage did not last long, Falcao equalising early in the second period with his third goal of the season.

The Colombian did not finish the match, but his replacement Emmanuel Riviere scored the winner with his fifth of the campaign.

Riviere signed from Toulouse in January slotted home after latching on to…
